woke up in this desert,
no water within range;
sun stood up above me,
called me out by name.
the heat of its body,
the sting of its ray;
an everlasting fire,
burns me with dismay.
exhausted, not defeated,
counter with a call for rain;
no well can be filled,
until I pour desire
overtop eternal flame.
